National Flags |
A national flag is not merely a piece of cloth but a
symbol of the love a nation has for its country. Our national flag is an
achievement at the cost of a sea of blood. When the national flag is hoisted
full mast we feel proud of it. Then it declares our independence. To the
outside world, our national flag carries the identity of our nation. The size
of our national flag is 10: 6. That is, if the length is ten feet, the width is
six feet. The design of our flag is a combination of two colour. It is often
made of cloth. A red circle in the middle is pasted against a broad green background. The bloody red colour of the circle is a memorial of the endless
sacrifices of our nation in the bloody struggle for freedom and the green
background suggests the natural beauty of our country. We look upon our flag as
a sacred thing. It is considered a great offence when one shows disrespect to
the national flag. Our national flag is the source of our spirit, hopes and
aspiration. So we must defend our independence at any cost and save the
existence and prestige of our invaluable and glorious national flag.
