A Paragraph on My Vegetable Garden

Vegetable Garden
Gardening is a source of health, wealth and pleasure. It arises out of love for trees and plants. Once I along with my parents went to visit one of my friends. Entering into their gate, I became astonished to see the natural beauty around their house. The thing that attracted me much was a vegetable garden. Then and there, I decided to make a vegetable garden of our own. I shared the idea with my father. My father assured me of the fact that we would also have a vegetable garden of our own. Coming back to house, we again discussed about the matter. Every member of our family appreciated the idea. First we selected a piece of land. It was behind our house. While selecting the piece of land, we thought of many things about the land. The land was suitable because the sun shines on the land all the daytime. However we bought a spade and other necessary tools to make a garden. We ploughed the land well, mixed manure with the soil, and divided the land into several beds. We watered the soil and made the soil wet. After some time we sowed the seeds of different vegetables there. Next we made a fence around the garden so that cows and goats could not cause any harm to the young plants. Now we can eat fresh vegetables from our garden. It both saves our money and ensures our good health.

A Paragraph on Our National Flag

National Flags
A national flag is not merely a piece of cloth but a symbol of the love a nation has for its country. Our national flag is an achievement at the cost of a sea of blood. When the national flag is hoisted full mast we feel proud of it. Then it declares our independence. To the outside world, our national flag carries the identity of our nation. The size of our national flag is 10: 6. That is, if the length is ten feet, the width is six feet. The design of our flag is a combination of two colour. It is often made of cloth. A red circle in the middle is pasted against a broad green background. The bloody red colour of the circle is a memorial of the endless sacrifices of our nation in the bloody struggle for freedom and the green background suggests the natural beauty of our country. We look upon our flag as a sacred thing. It is considered a great offence when one shows disrespect to the national flag. Our national flag is the source of our spirit, hopes and aspiration. So we must defend our independence at any cost and save the existence and prestige of our invaluable and glorious national flag.
